Social Media Sets the Pace at Olympics

The most reliable and unfiltered point of view on the Vancouver Games is streaming 24/7 across computers, around the world. It was even possible to go to Twitter to stay updated on every minute on the torch route before the opening ceremonies.

This also happens to be the first Olympic games in which the athletes are allowed to post their personal thoughts with the social media world. Photos from the dress rehearsals for the opening ceremony were also circulated on Twitter early last Wednesday.

All viewers are encouraged to share their thoughts on the games throughout the next couple weeks. The Olympics still continue to be a part of one of Twitter’s most popular trending topics, let’s keep it that way!
